Papier-Mâché Co. is a Malaysian creative and lifestyle company inspired by the relationship between Art, Nature, Materials and Human experience.
Born from a passion for art, textiles, craftsmanship and natural resources, Papier-Mâché Co. brings together creativity and product innovation to develop contemporary products across Beauty, Fragrance, Wellness, Lifestyle and The Arts.
Our journey began with art and material exploration — working with Arts, fibres, textiles, batik, leather, painting and natural elements — and gradually evolved into a wider creative platform where artistic expression meets everyday products.
Today, one of our most important areas of exploration is KENAF, a Malaysian-grown natural resource with remarkable potential across beauty, fragrance, wellness, textiles, materials and sustainable product development.
We believe that materials found in our own land can become more than raw resources.
They can become ideas, products, experiences and opportunities.

Papier-Mâché Co. was founded by Anis Ramzi (Nik Anis Kartini bt Nik Ramzi Shah), from an artistic background, with a deep appreciation for materials, craftsmanship and the natural environment.
Our creative journey has explored disciplines including:

Over time, our focus expanded from creating art objects to exploring how artistic thinking could be translated into products that people can experience and use in their everyday lives.
This philosophy led us into fragrance, beauty and wellness — and eventually towards the discovery of the wider possibilities of Kenaf as a Malaysian natural resource.

Kenaf is one of the most exciting natural resources we are exploring.
A fast-growing plant with applications across fibre, materials, manufacturing and natural-product development, Kenaf represents an opportunity to connect Malaysian agriculture with creativity, innovation and value-added products.
At Papier-Mâché Co, we are particularly interested in exploring Kenaf beyond its traditional use as fibre.
Our development direction includes Kenaf-based fragrance, aromatherapy, beauty, personal care, home fragrance and lifestyle products, while continuing to explore future applications of Kenaf and its derivatives.
We believe the future of Kenaf should not only be about selling raw materials.
It should also be about creating high-value Malaysian products and intellectual property from the resource.
